The problem

A collection of this size is a production problem before it is an art problem. Rendering a few hundred consistent scenes by hand, writing each one, pinning the files and keeping the characters on model is where projects like this quietly stop.

What we did

  1. Built a render pipeline with the character references locked in, so the same four characters stay on model across every scene.
  2. Wrote and checked the accompanying text against a public-domain quote roster, with a validator that fails the build on a mis-attributed line.
  3. Pinned the artwork and the metadata to IPFS and minted both collections to their own contracts on Polygon.
  4. Generated a page per scene, each with its own art, story, share card and place in the sitemap.

What shipped

  • Inception holds 1,150 scenes and Off the Map holds 737, both minted on Polygon and browsable in the gallery.
  • Every scene that resolves has a public page of its own, and only the ones that resolve are submitted to search.
  • The contracts, the supplies and the metadata are on-chain, so the count is checkable without taking our word for it.
