The project
What is Turbomindz?
Turbomindz is an independent art publishing imprint that uses NFTs as the binding format. Each piece is a marriage of one philosophical quote × one art tradition × one of nine themes. Every collection is a record. Every holder is a Founding Witness. The story is the substance; the token is the receipt.
Why nine themes?
The nine philosophical themes — Stoicism & Virtue, Mysticism & Esoterica, Existentialism & Freedom, Phenomenology & Perception, Eastern Wisdom & Non-Duality, Aesthetics & Beauty, Ethics & The Other, Cosmology & Time, Logic & Language — provide a structural grid we discipline every scene against. No scene drifts; each is anchored to one theme and one art tradition.
Are the quotes real?
Yes. Every quote is verified against a curated roster of mostly pre-1956 public-domain authors plus a smaller set of living philosophers. Attribution always includes the author's birth-death years. We never invent quotes.
Why no founder bio anywhere?
The brand voice is collective by design — four characters (Cosmo, Nova, Stella, Luna) narrate the universe at a locked 60/20/15/5 voice ratio. We don't centralize identity around a single person. Press inquiries: Turbomindz@turbomindz.com.
The collections
What's the difference between Inception and Off the Map?
Inception (1,150 scenes, 0.011 WETH ≈ $23 each) is the contemplative axis — one quote, one art tradition, one theme per scene. Off the Map (737 scenes, 0.015 WETH ≈ $32 each) is the narrative axis — the four characters traversing 39 universes in field-journal form. Hold across both to read the universe in stereo.
How big are the collections?
1,150 Inception and 737 Off the Map — 1,887 founding scenes in total. Both are fully minted on Polygon mainnet and listed for sale on OpenSea. The 14% Inception curation rate is the discipline behind the number.
Where do I buy a Turbomindz NFT?
On OpenSea. Both contracts are live on Polygon mainnet, and every scene on turbomindz.com has a Buy on OpenSea button that opens its listing. The website is where you browse; OpenSea is where the purchase settles — same art, same ownership. Royalty is 5% on every secondary sale, routed to the Turbomindz Gnosis Safe.
What does a Turbomindz NFT actually unlock?
Permanent on-chain ownership of a unique scene + access to the matching universe Discord room + Wanderer-level forum + dashboard access + marriage-eligibility (it can be bound to a physical artwork).
The village (Discord + forum)
The forum is embedded on the website. How does that work?
We embed live Discord channels directly into the site. You can read the conversation as a visitor; you can post if you connect your wallet (NFT holder) or subscribe to Wanderer ($5/mo). Same Discord, two surfaces.
Why pay $5/mo when my NFT already unlocks the forum?
The Wanderer tier exists for community members who don't want to buy an NFT but want to support the village. NFT holders get Wanderer-level access free. Subscribing on top of holding an NFT stacks the quarterly prints, eBooks, voting, and DM channel perks.
How do I log in to Discord using my NFT?
Connect your wallet, then verify with Discord. Guild.xyz checks your wallet's NFT holdings and grants the matching Discord roles within 60 seconds.
Do I need to know philosophy to belong?
No. Witnesses read first. The five-line code of conduct on /community covers everything you need. The point is contemplation, not credentialing.
How do I join the village on Discord?
Open /community on the site and step into Discord, or use the invite link directly. Drop a line in #introductions, read #rules-and-charter and #start-here, and you're in. Holder roles are confirmed by a moderator at launch and become automatic (wallet verification) in our next release.
What are the community rules?
Six, pinned in Discord #rules-and-charter: (1) the four characters are the public face — don't try to unmask the founder; (2) cite quotes with the author's dates; (3) no NFT shilling, no floor-panic, no “GM”/“WAGMI”; (4) be generous in arguments — steelman, cite, ask before assuming; (5) read before you post; (6) pre-1956 public-domain quotes. Enforcement is a quiet ladder: a DM, then a public reminder, then a short mute, then removal. Your NFTs are always yours regardless.
Marriage
What is marriage?
Marriage is a permanent, on-chain link between your Turbomindz NFT and a physical artwork. The marriage travels with the NFT in any future sale. The artwork is documented in metadata — title, year, medium, dimensions, statement, photos.
Who decides whether a marriage is approved?
The Turbomindz collective reviews every application for canonical fit, originality, and evidence quality. Curation time: 7-14 days.
What does marriage cost?
Free for the v1.0 application. The cost is curation time. A symbolic application fee may be introduced later.
What happens to the artwork if I sell my married NFT?
Marriage is permanent. The artwork travels with the NFT to the new owner. The original artist's name remains in the marriage record forever.
Can a marriage be dissolved?
Yes, but rarely — only by the current NFT owner with founder approval, and only within 7 days of marriage creation. Beyond 7 days, the marriage is permanent.
Buying & marketplace
How do I buy a scene?
Browse turbomindz.com/gallery, open any scene, and use its Buy on OpenSea button — the purchase settles on OpenSea (Polygon). Inception scenes are 0.011 WETH (≈ $23), Off the Map 0.015 WETH (≈ $32). New to this? The /start guide walks through wallets and buying step by step.
Who can list in the marketplace?
Anyone who holds a Turbomindz scene can list it for resale — listing is free. The marketplace runs in the Discord #marketplace channels at launch; the rules and the safe-trade procedure are pinned in #marketplace-info.
How does collector-to-collector trading work?
A dedicated on-site marketplace arrives in a later release. Until then, secondary trades are arranged in the Discord #marketplace channels: a seller posts the scene and price in #listings, terms are agreed in #offers-and-trades, and the sale settles on the seller's OpenSea listing — one atomic transaction. Closed trades are logged in #completed-trades. The 5% royalty is built into the contract and routed automatically.
How do I trade safely and avoid scams?
Always settle on OpenSea — never send crypto “first” on a promise. Turbomindz staff will never DM you first asking for funds, seed phrases, or a wallet connection; anyone who does is an impostor. Verify the contract address before buying — Inception 0x3e2E…F7ef, Off the Map 0x98dD…F751. Keep trade messages in the public channels, not DMs. If a trade goes wrong, post in #help and tag a moderator — staff mediate within 7 days.
Who pays for shipping?
The seller, who rolls the shipping cost into the listing price. It's the seller's job to know their shipping costs.
What if the artwork arrives damaged?
File a dispute within 7 days of delivery with photos. The Turbomindz collective mediates within 7 business days; if mediation fails, the dispute escalates to a community vote.
Patron
What's the difference between the three tiers?
Wanderer ($5/mo): forum + wallpaper + premium Field Journal + eBook discount. Witness-in-Training ($20/mo): all Wanderer + quarterly eBook + monthly print master + voting + NFT-gated quarterly print. Patron of the Field ($50/mo): all Witness + full eBook library + DM channel + colophon credit + annual hardcover.
Are subscriptions cancelable?
Yes, anytime, one click, no questions. You keep access through the end of your current billing period.
Where do my quarterly prints ship from?
Gelato — a global print-on-demand network with 130+ production hubs. Standard archival giclée prints arrive in 5-10 business days globally.
Can I do one-time donations instead of subscribing?
Yes. Seven amounts from $10 to $1,000 on the /patron page. Each one-time gift has its own perk.
Trust & safety
Where does the 5% royalty go?
A Gnosis Safe multi-sig on Polygon mainnet, verifiable on Polygonscan. Royalty proceeds fund the next chapter — print runs, eBook production, the next universe.
Is the contract audited?
Yes. A pre-mainnet audit is complete and the report is stored in the project repo. The marriage-marketplace contract is audited before the marketplace UI launches.
Can I trust the metadata?
Yes. Every scene's metadata is pinned to IPFS via Pinata. The contract emits the IPFS reference on-chain at mint. The art, the description, and the attribution are permanent.
What if the website goes down?
The NFTs and royalty contracts are on Polygon, fully independent of our website. OpenSea, Polygonscan, and any Polygon explorer continue to render your NFT correctly. The website is a presentation layer.
