What happens when you click Connect.

Four steps, about 60 seconds, nothing scary. Read this first if it's your first time signing into a Web3 site.

MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, WalletConnect, or the email-login wallet all work. One click opens the wallet's permission prompt.

Your wallet asks you to authorize this site. We learn ONLY your wallet address. No email, no name, no permission to move funds.

If you hold an Inception or Off the Map NFT, the embedded forum, dashboard, and marketplace unlock automatically.

Guild.xyz checks your wallet and grants the matching Discord roles in under 60 seconds. Your held universe → your theme room.

I don't have a wallet — what now?: Use the email-login wallet on the Connect modal — it creates a wallet behind your email, nothing to install. Or install MetaMask (free browser extension, 2 minutes). Our /start guide walks through both.
I don't have POL — can I still browse?: Yes. Browsing the gallery and reading the manifesto needs no wallet at all. POL is only required when you decide to buy.
What does the website learn about me?: Just your wallet address. We never request permission to move funds. The only thing we ask you to sign is a one-time message proving you own the wallet.
What gets stored in your database?: Your wallet address and whatever optional fields you choose to share — bio, display name, Discord username. Never your private key or any other wallet activity.
How does Discord verification work?: Guild.xyz is a free service that reads your wallet's NFT holdings from the blockchain and grants matching Discord roles. It re-checks daily.
Can I disconnect later?: Anytime. Click your wallet badge in the top nav, then "Sign out." The session ends immediately. Your wallet stays in your control.

Browsing the gallery, the manifesto, the FAQ and the forum all work with no wallet at all. When a scene pulls at you, you'll be ready.
