Logo & Brand Identity

The Turbomindz brand system

A mark, four characters, a colour and type system, and written rules that keep a website, a newsletter and two collections looking like one studio.

The four Turbomindz characters standing together on a glowing island at the centre of a web of floating worlds joined by gold threads.
Cosmo's character reference: a clay-rendered astronaut in a white and orange suit and a fishbowl helmet with a small bent antenna, against a purple starfield.

The problem

The studio had a name and no way to look like the same thing twice. Every page, post and render was a fresh decision made under time pressure, so nothing accumulated into recognition — and six months of output looked like six different companies.

What we did

  1. Drew the mark and the wordmark, then the four characters who carry the voice.
  2. Set the palette and the type scale as design tokens, so a colour has exactly one definition and every surface reads it from there.
  3. Wrote the rules down: what each character signs, what the footer says, which words the brand does not use.
  4. Built the tokens into the site stylesheet and added a check that fails the build when a page hardcodes a colour instead.

What shipped

  • The mark, the palette and the type scale render on every page of turbomindz.com.
  • Four character references are published and reused across both collections, the Journal and the newsletter.
  • The rules are a file the build reads, not something somebody has to remember.
