Cosmo recoils, mouth wide open, because the songline he was happily following just ended in a crack the colour of a wound. Nova hovers calmly across the gap, on the far side, untroubled. To Cosmo the ravine reads as failure — the map broke, the path quit, the story stopped. But the dot-painting keeps going on the other side, identical, patient. The ravine isn't an ending. It's the moment the trail asks you to either find the leap or find the long way round — and either way, the songline was always continuing without you, waiting on the far rim. 💡 THE INSIGHT: A gap in the path isn't proof the path is over.
