PERSIAN MOSQUE CHAMBER — BLUE TILES, A GEOMETRIC STAR FLOOR. Cosmo and Nova stand near an arched doorway while Stella kneels and draws a golden star-pattern onto the tiled floor. The chamber is already breathtaking — centuries of geometry, every tile placed by some long-gone hand. Cosmo might wonder why Stella is adding to a floor that is so clearly finished. But it isn't. Look closely: the old pattern stops just short of completing its central star. The artisans of the past laid down nine-tenths of it and trusted that someone, eventually, would kneel where they had to stop. Stella's golden line isn't decoration on top of a masterpiece. It is the masterpiece, being finished — on time, by the person who showed up. 💡 THE INSIGHT: The work handed down to you is almost never complete.
