"All things are full of gods." — Thales of Miletus (d. ~546 BCE) 🔮 THE PLOT TWIST: INT. AMETHYST CLUSTER — TOWERING PURPLE CRYSTALS, A FAINT RAINBOW FLARE. Cosmo stands small among crystals taller than he is, Nova hovering at his side. Above them, a rainbow flares — and Cosmo, briefly, thinks the crystal is magic, a maker of colour. It isn't. The crystal made nothing. White light entered it, plain and unsplit, and the crystal simply declined to keep it as one thing. It let the light spread into all the colours it secretly already was. The amethyst's whole sacred trick is generosity: it received something whole and gave it back as everything. 💡 THE INSIGHT: Beauty is rarely invented.
