BRASS OBSERVATORY — DOMED CEILING OF GOLDEN CONSTELLATIONS. Cosmo stands at a brass telescope while Stella squints through it; Nova hovers near a wall clock under a painted sky. Stella expects to see a star. The twist: Cosmo notices the clock and the telescope are doing the same job. Every point of light she sees through the lens left its star long ago — the telescope is a clock pointed sideways. To look out at the heavens is to read the past in light. The observatory measures distance and time with the very same instrument. 💡 THE INSIGHT: Distance and time are the same fabric seen from two angles.
