MARIONETTE THEATRE — GILDED STAGE, A STARLIT BACKDROP, ROWS OF HANGING PUPPETS. Cosmo stands centre-stage holding control strings, small puppet figures dangling around him. The twist is which way the strings pull. He arrived believing he was the puppeteer — the one in charge, working the little wooden lives. Then he looks up his own arms and the strings keep going, past his hands, past the rafters, into the dark. He is holding strings, yes. He is also, plainly, on them. And this is not a tragedy. The discovery is the opposite of helpless: knowing the strings run both ways is the exact moment you can choose to start steering. 💡 THE INSIGHT: We all hold strings and we are all on strings.
