Cosmo stands on a red-earth path that glows with dot-art star lines leading toward the constellations above. The twist is which came first, the path or the stars. A traveller might assume the glowing trail on the ground was laid down and then, helpfully, matched to the sky. It is the other way around. The sky-map is older than every road. Long before anyone cut a path through this desert, the route was already drawn overhead in stars — an emu, a line, a direction. The ground is only catching up. Cosmo is not following a path that leads to the stars. He is walking a star-map that finally came down to earth. 💡 THE INSIGHT: The first maps were never on the ground.
