"The hand is the instrument of instruments." — Aristotle (d. 322 BCE) 🔮 THE PLOT TWIST: INT. WARM WORKSHOP — A WOODEN BENCH, A GLOWING FRAMED CRYSTAL ARTWORK. Cosmo and Nova stand on the workbench beside the framed crystal picture when an enormous human hand reaches in from outside the world to touch a sparkling cluster. Cosmo freezes — the giant hand is from *out there*, from the maker's side of the glass, and it has crossed into theirs. He expects to be brushed aside like a prop. Instead the hand only touches, gently, the way you touch something to be sure it's real. And Cosmo understands the workshop's quiet secret: the maker and the made are not separated by the frame. The hand reaches in not to control the little world, but to be in contact with it.
