Behind Cosmo, figures sit in a ring of discussion beneath a sign — WORDS TO LIVE BY — and a board of nine numbered themes. Cosmo stands in the foreground, small and steady. The hall makes its Stoic point structurally: the scroll is bolted to the ceiling, fixed, unmovable — like events. The only thing in the room that can turn, lean, or choose is the boy.
