CIRCUS TENT — STRIPED CANVAS, A FORTUNE-TELLER CABINET WITH A GLOWING-EYED AUTOMATON ORACLE. Cosmo and Stella draw cards: YOUR PAST IS PROLOGUE, FUTURE NEEDS CONNECTION, PATTERNS REVEAL DESTINY. Nova hovers above, amused. Cosmo waits for the cards to tell him a fixed fate. They decline to. Read closely, none of them name an outcome — they name a method. The oracle isn't predicting Cosmo's life. It's handing him, in carnival language, the only three instructions that ever work: use your past, reach toward others, look for the pattern. 💡 THE INSIGHT: The honest oracle never tells you what will happen.
